Why this panel

Male fertility is assessed on two axes: the hormonal signals that drive sperm production, and the sperm themselves. This panel covers the hormonal half thoroughly and tells you whether a semen analysis is likely to be the next step.

💡 What most people missFSH is the marker that matters most here and it's the one usually left off. LH drives testosterone; FSH drives spermatogenesis specifically. A man can have perfectly normal testosterone and badly impaired sperm production, and a testosterone-only panel will look completely reassuring. High FSH with low testicular volume suggests primary testicular failure. The other thing worth stating plainly: if you are on testosterone, you are on a contraceptive. TRT suppresses FSH and LH and commonly drives sperm counts to zero, sometimes irreversibly.
⏰ When to get it drawnMorning, 7–10am, fasted. A semen analysis is a separate test and is essential — no blood panel can substitute for it.
