Does GHK-Cu (inj/oral) actually work on skin?

This is a different question from whether it works injected, and the answer is often different too — a molecule has to survive the stratum corneum before any of its biology matters. Full GHK-Cu (inj/oral) breakdown →

How the mechanism reads

How to use GHK-Cu Body Lotion

Step 7 — Body

Body, after showering on damp skin. Body skin is thicker and more forgiving than the face, which means slower results and far less irritation risk. Apply after a shower while the skin is still damp. Keep it out of the same layer as direct vitamin C — copper and ascorbic acid deactivate each other. Vitamin C in the morning, copper peptides at night, and both keep working.

What bloodwork can and cannot tell you here

A body lotion is the clearest case in the section: it acts where you put it, it does not enter circulation in any meaningful quantity, and there is no blood marker that responds to it. Nothing here is a systemic product.

Skin that stays dry, rough or itchy through a good routine is usually being driven from the inside, and four of the commonest causes are on one cheap panel. This is the check worth running before you buy a fifth lotion.

GHK-Cu is a copper peptide, and the Vault does carry a copper-load warning for it — attached to the injected form, where it belongs. At cosmetic concentrations on intact skin there is no evidence that a serum, cream or shampoo raises serum copper or ceruloplasmin, and a copper level is not a way to judge whether the product is working. If you are also injecting GHK-Cu, that is where the question lives, and the compound page is where it is answered.

MarkerWhy it matters for this
TSH (Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone)Hypothyroidism is the commonest internal cause of dry, rough skin
HbA1c (Hemoglobin A1c)Chronically high glucose dries skin and slows how fast it heals
FerritinIron deficiency dries skin and splits nails before it causes anemia
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)Liver and kidney — cholestatic and uremic itch are not lotion problems
Vitamin D (25-Hydroxy)Low status tracks with barrier dysfunction and with eczema

The Basics — Start Here panel covers these in one order — 4 markers, $32.40 with the discount applied.
