The five-question check

Answer each one in your head first, then tap it to see the answer.

Q1TSH tells you how much hormone your thyroid made. True or false?
False. TSH is the brain's order to the gland, not the gland's product.
Q2Free T3 low, reverse T3 high, TSH normal, and six months of dieting. Which station?
Station 5, the brake. Your body is saving energy on purpose. Fuel first, then recheck.
Q3Ferritin 60 with an hs-CRP of 8. Can you trust the ferritin?
Not yet. Inflammation lifts ferritin. Lean on transferrin saturation and recheck when CRP is normal.
Q4Your thyroid antibodies are positive. Do you add iodine?
Not until you've read the autoimmune and iodine drivers. Too much iodine can make autoimmune thyroid disease worse.
Q5Which receptor-beta drug is an approved treatment option for fatty liver with scarring?
Resmetirom. FDA accelerated approval came in March 2024.

Which station is yours?

The lab panel that shows all six stations in one draw is the Thyroid Deep Dive. Every marker on it has its own page explaining what moves it and what makes the test lie.

See the Thyroid Deep Dive panel →How to read TSH →Educational use only. Not medical advice. If you take thyroid medication, it is dosed by bloodwork by whoever prescribes it.
